Octavi Arrizabalaga aka Aryz was born in 1988 in Palo Alto (California); at a early age his parents moved to Cardedeu (Spain), where he currently lives and works. Like many artists of his generation, Arrizabalaga started painting graffiti in the surroundings of Barcelona at the early 2000’s where he began to be known as Aryz. Around 2007 he started painting with telescopic sticks and house-paint on different surfaces from abandoned factories in the outskirts of Barcelona. More recently, he has begun to work more within the studio, limiting the number of murals that he performs annually.
