Stockton Theater Program is performing an original English translation of Courtyard of Miracles, by Iakovos Kambanellis, an extremely important 20th century modern Greek playwright. This will be the world premiere of Demetres P. Tryphonopoulos’ original translation of this modern Greek masterpiece and is directed by Martha Frintzila, whose credits include the National Theater of Athens, Greece.
The play runs Wednesday February 18-Saturday February 21 at 7:30 pm and Sunday February 22 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 Regular $8 students. The play will take place in the Experimental Theater (Black Box) which only seats 75 people and it will be presented in the round.
Additionally, there will be a free public lecture by Dr. Walter Puchner of the University of Athens, who is the world authority on Kambanelis, on Wednesday February 18 at 4:30 pm in L112 (next to Art Gallery) Dr. Puchner is the world authority on Kambanelis.
